Honoring courageous front-line activists who are standing up against conflict-related sexual violence and supporting survivors
Women for Women International is hosting a virtual panel discussion to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence.
Hosted by International Board Chair, Nunu Ntshingila, the event will shed light on this pervasive war crime which continues to destroy lives and terrorize communities across the globe. We will also celebrate courageous people in South Sudan and Ukraine who are daring to act — to prevent this crime, to stand up and speak out despite stigma, and to bring change, even in the most dangerous contexts.
Hear from a panel of formidable women and ask them your questions during our live Q+A:
• Grace Dorong, Founder and Executive Director, Root of Generations, South Sudan
• Liubov Gordiienko, Advisor to the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy of Ukraine
You can read their full bios below.
This event will take place online on Zoom and it is free to attend. Women for Women International will circulate a recording to those who register, even if you cannot attend the live discussion.
