Nunu Ntshingila

Women for Women International’s Board Chair

In January 2025, Women for Women International welcomed Nunu Ntshingila as our Board Chair. Nunu is the former Regional Director at Meta, and over the last 35 years, she has held various business leadership positions in the Africa region across various sectors, including Technology, Brand Consultancy & Marketing, Mining, Infrastructure, and Social Development. Nunu utilizes her expertise in business leadership and brand management to grow companies, build global brands, and contribute to social development issues. In 2005, she founded Ntinta Investments, which has held interests in various companies in Africa.

Grace Dorong

Founder and Executive Director, Root of Generations, South Sudan

Grace Dorong is the Founder and Executive Director of Root of Generations (ROG), a non-profit organisation focused on empowering underserved women, children and youth in South Sudan. Ms. Dorong was displaced at a young age due to conflict and climate change. She advocates for women’s rights through initiatives focused on locally developed solutions, women’s leadership and disaster risk reduction. Her non-profit serves refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), many of whom have experienced Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) supporting them with entrepreneurship training, providing safe spaces and cash transfers. With over 15 years of experience in project planning and management, Ms. Dorong actively participates in programs and thought leadership forums that focus on gender-based violence, protection, gender equality and social justice. She is a member of the Africa Climate Working Group, the Lead for the South Sudan Resilience initiative and has spoken at global platforms such as COP29 and at the ‘Women Peace and Security’ Council.

Liubov Gordiienko

Lawyer and Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy of Ukraine

Liubov Gordiienko is a lawyer and gender expert specializing in the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security agenda and integrating gender perspectives within the security and defense sector. Currently, Ms. Gordiienko serves as an Advisor to the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy of Ukraine, focusing on prevention and response to conflict-related sexual violence. She also provides expert support to the Ukrainian civil society organization, the Regional Centre for Human Rights, as part of the UK Special Defense Advisor Program, “Supporting Adaptive Defense Reforms in Ukraine.” This program promotes compliance with international humanitarian law, accountability for violations, and advances human security, gender equality, and empowerment of women and minorities in the security sector amid ongoing armed conflict.
