For over 30 years, Women for Women International has helped women who are forgotten—the women survivors of war and conflict. Our mission is to create a world in which all women determine the course of their lives and reach their full potential.

We have operated in DRC since 2004, serving over 100,000 women. Participants of our program receive vocational training for jobs like animal husbandry, tailoring and knitting, participating in savings and self-help groups, and learn to invest in their businesses as they receive stipends. They are also trained by local staff on how to embrace and defend their rights, influence decision making in their households, and create social change in their communities.
